"The pink color is beautiful and I love the contrasting color on the back pocket. I am a comfortable M in every other pair of topo bottoms, but the mediums in these fit a tad closer than I would like. Unfortunately, the large is sold out in every color so I can't compare. The fabric is super comfy and stretchy so it's not like they're constricting. . . maybe just meant for a slimmer fit? Still on the fence about keeping them."

Wanted to love, but tight in the waist

"Pockets- awesome & deep, length- perfect, colors- so cute, fabric- great stretch…BUT they ride up in the middle when you walk & the waist is too tight for how the rest of the shorts fit. Would maybe be good for someone with a smaller waist & strong legs/rear? But I feel like these could be a little bigger since there’s a draw string to cinch… Got a L online (my usual size) & went to the local Topo store to try on an XL but those were way too big everywhere except the waist was still tight-ish. Maybe it’s just not meant for my figure? So cute in the ads! Less functional (fit wise) irl. Got the Ember & black and they fit the same, but colors were great in person."

On the small side

"The design is cute and functional, but I was disappointed in the sizing and fit. I have several pairs of dirt pants in size S and they fit perfectly- loose but flattering. I bought two pairs of these mesa shorts in S and they are tight around the waist and around the leg, making them uncomfortable. I'd exchange for a medium but the orange is sold out in that size. I'm sad, I had high hopes for these. Not sure if I'll keep or return yet."

"I usually wear a 28/ size 6 bottom and I ordered the mediums, and they have the perfect amount of room. The blue color is really nice in person, neutral and go with everything. I appreciate the small details on these shorts that give them a bit of interest and they look just as good on the trails as they do around town."
